More Than a Decade

Our Story

In 2016, Shane Hackert continued two generations of family tradition in carpentry by starting a small custom cabinetry business out of his apartment garage. Soon after, he met Tim Cutler—a skilled mason and project manager—while building homes in Haiti with a nonprofit. Shane and Tim quickly became lifelong friends and business partners, united by a shared passion for craftsmanship and serving others.

From those humble beginnings, Cabinets by Shane steadily grew through hard work, trusted relationships, and a commitment to serving its customers well. What started as a small garage workshop has become a respected cabinetry company serving homeowners, builders, and remodelers across Tennessee, with a vision of creating something that will serve the community for generations to come.

Built the Right Way

Our Standard

Cabinets by Shane is built on a simple standard: do the work the right way, with care that shows in every cabinet, finish, and detail. What began as a family trade has grown into a team of craftsmen, designers, and installers serving homeowners and builders across Middle Tennessee.

Our name reflects the accountability behind our work. Every project carries our reputation, so we treat each home with the same respect we would expect in our own. From first drawings to final install, we focus on honest communication, durable materials, and cabinetry made to feel original to the space.

A Fresh Approach

Our Brand

Cabinets by Shane sought a brand refresh in 2024 to better reflect its strong team, culture, and values. Communicating our family heritage, instilling a sense of internal camaraderie, and reinforcing our steadfast relationships with our customers were our top priorities.

The company’s visual identity was updated to a hammer and chisel—representing hard work and skilled craftsmanship—housed inside a shield to represent our commitment to quality and tradition. It’s a simple mark that conveys the deeper story behind the business. We’re a team with humble origins that became successful through deep friendship and hard-working family.
